2011 has been quite a year for the Dolphin Marching Band, at the start of the year we only had 6 – 8 members.

Now we have a 30+ strong band members plus Staff and Support Staff.

This year we purchases a new Minibus so once again we have our own transport, it was a proud moment from our rocky start at the beginning of the year.

We were very proud and honoured to take part in the Jersey Battle of Flowers and Sandford Remembrance parade. We also had the honour to take part in Poole Santa Parade.

We held our Awards Evening on Monday 30 November 2011. It was well attended by Parents and Friends. Many band members and Staff received Awards and/or Certificates. Some band members received a 5 or 10 year long service badge!! The Awards were presented by Jonathan Rickman from Woodland Trust.

Throughout the year we take part in Carnivals, Fetes, Parades & Displays and our own fundraising events. To finish 2011 off we have our Band Christmas Party to look forward to, then a well-earned rest until February – March next year.

2012 looks to be another busy exciting year for our Band. We have been invited back to Jersey Battle of Flowers and Sandford Remembrance Parade. We also have our DMB Jubilee Fundays Event and TYMBA Competitions to look forward to as well!

But the ultimate highlight of the year will be our treat to Euro Disney in the October half-term!
